Destination Imagination Teams Excel at Regional Competitions

Dangerous Identities Official PhotoWorking in teams, Destination Imagination (DI) students are challenged to think openly and creatively, working together to solve problems using a variety of skills from engineering to artistic performance.

Recently, three Randolph Heights DI teams competed in regional tournaments. With sponsorship from the PTA, two of those teams will now compete at the State tournament. Way to go RHS!

  • Our 4th grade team competing in the Improvisational: Improv Games category (Alex, Isabel, Natalie, Ava, Lily, Emery and Eliza) took 3rd place in the East Metro tournament. Thank you to team managers Bernie Armada and Caleb Drexler-Booth.
  • Our second 4th grade team competed in the Creative Arts: Feary Tales category (Davis, Leo, Elsie, Megan, Lucy, Cecelia and Aissatou) taking 3rd place in the North Metro tournament. This team qualified to move on to the State tournament on April 11. Thank you to team managers Marge Isom and Joel Rhode.
  • Our 5th grade team competed in the Creative Arts: Feary Tales category (Cepeda, Andrew, Sam, Salma, Nola and Vivi) taking 1st place in the East Metro tournament. They also qualified to move on to the State tournament on April 11. Thank you to team manager DeeAnn Englund.
