Give To The Max for RHS PTA!

Have you ever wondered what the PTA needs to raise money for anyway? The answer is that we need to raise about $45,000 a year to cover things that the district does not cover for the school, including:

Students: Our Core Knowledge music program and each grade’s performance accompaniment, the Northern Clay residency, field trips, busses to and from the school for all field trips, accelerated reader testing fees, birthday books from Ms. Ropella, student scholarships for the 5th Grade Eagle Bluff trip, and competition fees for our school teams.

  • Teachers: Annual grants to all teachers for classroom materials, snacks for Teacher Appreciation Week and for teachers to grab during conferences. Additionally, the Read-a-thon funds additional books for classrooms.
  • RH Community: Community building events such as the Boo-hoo Breakfast, Fall Festival, Movie Night, Doing Good Together, Field Day and the End of Year Picnic.
  • Our School: Specific school needs like a safety supplies and maintenance costs for our school garden areas.

Our major fundraisers, including the Fun Run and Read-A-Thon, only raise about half of these funds. We need YOUR year-end help to make all this happen!

Giving on Give to the Max Day is already open, and there are daily prize drawings through GTMD on November 16. Check out our updated page, or directly through our website. Each of these sites offers a recurring donation option if you like — and if you want to designate your donation to a specific effort, such as the clay residency, let us know that as well!
