About PTA Programs

The PTA provides support to our students, teachers, school staff, and RHS families in many ways.

Educational Grants

Classroom Enrichment and Direct Teacher grants are the biggest portion of the PTA’s budget. These grants provide consistent funding to teachers and classrooms in support of the current curriculum or new opportunities. The PTA also supports the library with an annual grant.

Special Purchases

The PTA may fund one-time or special purchases that support learning, such as new sound equipment, musical instruments and supplies, books, or classroom equipment.

Teacher Appreciation

The Teacher Appreciation program provides meals or snacks for school conference days and many activities during Teacher Appreciation Week in the spring.

Field Trip Support

The PTA provides funding for all field trip buses, as well as scholarship funds.

Recognition and Fun

The PTA also supports School Patrol Recognition, Sixth/Fifth Grade Graduation, Track and Field Day, kindergarten programs, and other activities that enhance learning.

Doing Good Together

Doing Good Together is a time for RH families to come together for an evening of community service work.

All-School Events

All-school events — such as Movie Night — are eagerly anticipated by the students and lots of fun for parents and grandparents, too. These events are a great way to get to know your fellow RHS families!

Green and Healthy Kids

Green and Healthy Kids works with parents, teachers, and school and district leaders to advocate for healthy, happy students and a safer, less wasteful environment at school, at home, and in our community.

Garden Crew

Our school has a lot of gardens! They are kept looking great by parents, staff, and, students who enjoy several gardening days together in the fall and spring.

What’s Your Passion?

All of these programs are the result of a volunteer or two with a new idea. Contact volunteer@rhs-pta.org if you have a new idea you’d like to try.
